M A I M My American Indian Movement Leyba's 4th book
M.A.I.M.; My American Indian Movement is Leyba's 4th hand painted book. This book was created the year Leyba started doing performance art with United Satanic Apache Front the music track contains vocals from A.I.M. member and fellow painter Billy Soza Warsoldier. One of his performances "Apache Whiskey Rite'' involving a strap on Jack Daniel's bottle that was used on him at the Jack davis party in 1997 in San Francisco in front of city officials making international news. Because of this Leyba is a celebrated artist in the political debate on wether a flag should be protected under the constitution. M.A.I.M. was read at the same Native American event in New Mexico. After performing with U.S.A.F. Leyba bloodies left the stage and A.I.M. leader Lennny Foster Leonard Peltier's spiritual advisor proclaimed "The American Indian Movement was not a Satanic movement!"

APACHE MEANS ENEMY Leyba's 3rd painted book
Leyba's 3rd hand painted book started when he lived in the east village in New York City in 1995 and painted in Oregon, New Mexico and finished in the Mission in san Francisco. It is the first book where he used beads and blood. Leyba is Apache and Apache is a Zuni word meaning enemy.
